2024 Holiday Drive
We have a BIG goal this year — help feed 4,000 people a holiday meal, provide winter essentials, and give toys to 250 families!
Good that provides a sense of normalcy and self worth….
For this specific delivery, Chef Cheryl asked for a series of mushrooms for their vegetarian meals including: baby Bella, oyster and Lions Mane. One of our volunteers named Rudy was able to forage 2 lbs of fresh Lions mane and we completed the order with 3 more lbs from mom’s organic.
Chef Brian will be using oyster mushrooms and Lions mane for their vegetarian sandwiches as they accommodate a variety of food choices for their guests.
A week alternative, Rudy foraged another 6 pounds of beautiful fresh Lions mane and took them to Miriam’s Kitchen. Chef Brian was so happy about receiving more mushrooms taking time to say thank you and express his gratitude. He’s looking forward to going foraging for mushrooms with Rudy one day.
