We Are Family. . . . Delivery to Miriam's Kitchen

On Friday, September 27, Rudy and Ani Ariana made the second Buddhist Relief delivery to Miriam's Kitchen for the month. Chef Brian and Alex met us at the kitchen and helped us quickly unload 330 lbs of produce and dry goods, including carrots, cabbage, yellow onions, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, lemons, limes, avocados, parsley, cilantro, oranges, spring onions, rice, and sugar.

It turns out Chef Brian used to work at Shepherd's Table, so meeting him felt like meeting family. We have built such a strong connection with Shepherd's Table and are now creating the same with Miriam's Kitchen. All of this warm-heartedness and connection is thanks to Jetsunma's urging us to reach out and give of ourselves, our resources, and our love. Together, we are creating a family of partner organizations united by the mission of feeding those in need.

Rudy even shared his passion for mushroom foraging with Chef Brian and Alex, sparking plans for a foraging adventure to source mushrooms for the meals served at Miriam's Kitchen.

Be a part of this growing family of kindness and collaboration! Become a Friend of KPC Buddhist Relief and join us as we continue to work together to end hunger in our communities.
