Delivery to Shepherd's Table

This week, Buddhist Relief volunteers delivered 898 lbs of produce and dry goods to Shepherd’s Table. Our 700 lbs of fresh produce included: potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, carrots, zucchini, apples and oranges.

The dry goods requested included seasonings such as Montreal Chicken and Steak seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder and also staples such as ketchup, mustard, salsa, salad dressing, and hamburger buns. We also had a 74 lb offering of canned garbanzo, red kidney and black beans, banana peppers and grated Parmesan cheese.

Marcy Merti, Volunteer Coordinator, brought a few of the kitchen volunteers out to help unpack the van. They were sure they could easily get everything out until they heard we had close to 900lbs for them. They went from confidence to awe when the doors opened and they saw the amount of food we had and were registering the amount of food it takes to feed all their guests. A true ‘Wow!’ moment. They said our donations are so appreciated and valued.

Buddhist Relief plays such a large part in supporting our partners …. and we at Buddhist Relief are so grateful to our donors because you help us feed a hungry soul and nourish a depleted spirit.

Please join us in expanding our efforts by giving to KPC Buddhist Relief.
