KPC Buddhist Relief at Germantown National Night Out
Thank you to all who came out last Tuesday evening to the Germantown National Night Out held at the Montgomery College campus.
The purpose of National Night Out events - held throughout the country - is to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Organized by our friends at the Upcounty Hub, about 1200 people attended the event, enjoying free food, entertainment, small gifts, raffles and information provided by 48 vendors/organizations.
Our booth had a steady stream of visitors, and many people got to learn about KPC and Buddhist Relief. We were also happy to meet or reconnect with local officials - KPC Buddhist Relief is now becoming quite familiar to them.
The Hub suggested we bring the goats. Jacob and Tara kindly brought Mama Goat and the two kids and they were extremely popular, and a real treat for the children.
All our efforts run off of volunteer power! Contributing in any way towards Buddhist Relief helps serve our community and feed those who are hungry and hurting most. We appreciate your support!
