Locals Eggplant to Hub

Buddhist Relief is proud to partner with both Locals Farm Market and the Upcounty Hub.

Locals has joined our partners in working to relieve food insecurity in Montgomery County by donating fresh produce they are unable to use themselves. Buddhist Relief, knowing the needs of each of our partners, is able to then coordinate with them so the resources can be quickly transported to those who can utilize it. The produce is picked up fresh to be transported in our refrigerated van directly to the recipient organizations, who in turn distribute the produce to those in need within days of receiving it, allowing the recipients to receive the produce still fresh and table ready.

Together with our partners, Buddhist Relief seeks to close the holes in the community's safety net, while at the same time reducing waste in food relief distributions.
