Friends and Neighbors
In just the first week of May, KPC Buddhist Relief delivered 3,388 lbs (over 1.5 tons) worth of food to The Upcounty Hub!
Besides our weekly produce donation of over 1000 lbs (1,188 lbs to be exact), we made sure the Hub's Choice Pantry would be well stocked with healthy food staples for the month of May -- 2,200 lbs (1,630 items) of kitchen food staples, condiments and treats.
The Upcounty Hub recently expanded their Social Services - check out their new office.
Through this expansion, the Hub will be able to assist more clients. Quite often, having access to food is on the top of the list. It can be due to parental neglect, sudden loss of employment, denial of SNAP renewals, disabilities and displacement due to evictions, fires/ floods / gas explosions, etc.
KPC Buddhist Relief works closely with the Hub to ensure that the Choice Pantry is well stocked to meet these increasing needs.
We are truly grateful for your financial contributions to Buddhist Relief. Your kindness and generosity allows us, in partnership with the Hub, to help our friends and neighbors.
