With food, they open up....
This past Monday, Buddhist Relief volunteers traveled to Shepherd's Table to make our weekly donation of fresh produce and dried goods.
We delivered 450 lbs of carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, corn, asparagus, apples, and seasonal Asian pears from Kingsbury Orchard. Our dry goods included sugar, coffee, and salad dressing. With the weather getting cooler, we also brought grits, polenta and pancake mix.
A few meal guests watched as the Shepherd's Table team unloaded the van, knowing this food was theirs.
As the meal guests trust that there will be food for them tomorrow, they begin to relax and open up to staff and resources at Shepherd’s Table.
With our founder Jetsunma’s constant guidance, KPC Buddhist Relief helps provide what is requested and needed.
The need is greater than ever. Please help us help them.
