Shepherd's Table Delivery: Nourishing and providing for all

Today the Buddhist Relief team took our new refrigerated van on its maiden voyage to Shepherd's Table. Despite being 100° outside it was 40° inside protecting our 780 pounds of fresh produce.

Our goods included 100 lbs carrots, 100 lbs potatoes, 100 lbs onions, 75 lbs cauliflower, 50 lbs zucchini, 50 lbs corn; 75 lbs green beans and 180 lbs bananas. Wow!

Dry goods included 50 lbs grits, coconut milk, coffee, powdered drink mixes, and tea.

Mohammed Banya, Shepherd's Table's Senior Operations Assistant, met us at the van to help unload and knew immediately it was a different van. He was so happy for all the possibilities that the refrigerated van will provide.

We'll be able able to transport vegetables, fruit and meat from our local farms and orchards safely. We can be a transportation resource with no middle man therefore being more cost effective. And that’s just the beginning…

ALL of our donors gifts have created this well-spring of generosity …nourishing and providing for all. Won’t you join us in expanding our ability to provide for those in need?
