Sharing Summertime Bounty

Summertime is when there’s a bounty of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Fresher produce packs in more nutrition, and it is definitely more savory!

For our neighbors in need, KPC Buddhist Relief last week donated 1,340 lbs of twelve different fruits and vegetables to The Upcounty Hub for distribution to the Germantown and Gaithersburg community. It included an abundance of fresh corn, green beans, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers and eggplants – as well as all-time favorites that folks appreciate to feed their families: potatoes, carrots, cabbage, yuca, oranges, bananas and pears!

Sharing is caring. We are extremely grateful to you, our donors, for your ongoing financial support. We are also grateful to David Therriault and Sandy Wright of Locals Farm Market in Poolesville for donating the 89 lbs of beautiful eggplants!
