Cornucopia of Blessings

This past Friday, Buddhist Relief delivered 516 lbs of food, including 80 lbs of fresh produce, to the First Baptist Church in Silver Spring. We were warmly greeted by Jim Reed, Food Closet Coordinator, who was delighted by the bounty. He said that he especially appreciated the canned beans as they can’t get them from food banks anymore.

We delivered a rich variety of food, including apples and oranges; canned salmon, ham, and chicken breast; a variety of canned beans, such as chickpeas and black-eyed peas; and a selection of soups, including chicken noodle and clam chowder. We also provided chocolate chip cookies, boxed mashed potatoes, pasta sauce, breakfast cereal, oatmeal, mozzarella cheese sticks, grape and strawberry jelly, mixed nuts, flour tortillas, and shelf-stable milk.

KPC Buddhist Relief has been delivering over 500 lbs of food every other week to the First Baptist Church for over a year. They rely on our gifts to serve over 50 families every Saturday when they open their pantry to the community. Please keep this heartwarming effort going and donate today to Buddhist Relief.
