Thursday Nov. 2nd delivery to the Upcounty Hub
Today we delivered 3,040 lbs of food to the Hub! About 1/3 of the total were for the drive through distribution of produce tomorrow (in Montgomery Village), for about 175 families. The rest were items for the Choice Pantry.
Produce offered for Friday Nov. 3rd distribution:
100 lbs each of apples, oranges, pears, bananas, nectarines, cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, summer squash, and winter squash
200 lbs of pumpkins
50 lbs jalapeño
17 stalks of celery
This month’s choice pantry dates are November 13th, 14th & 15th. About 2000 lbs of the amount donated today were choice pantry items including turkey gravy, yams in cans, green beans, pumpkin purée and mashed potatoes in time for Thanksgiving holiday.
More items will be shopped for and delivered next Thursday, to ensure that the choice pantry will be stocked abundantly.
