They can count on us... Shepherd's Table delivery
On a recent delivery to Shepherd's Table, Rudy, Yekta, and Anne K. brought 615 pounds of produce and dry goods, including cabbage, zucchini, bell peppers, cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, scallions, apples, and oranges. Our dry goods included pancake syrup, butter, sugar, coffee, creamer, salsa, tea, and cream cheese.
It was a beautiful fall day, and Rudy and Rob unloaded the delivery together. Rob reiterated how much he loves Mondays because he knows we’ll be there.
Chef Gary came out to say hello and mentioned that he’s missed seeing us since he’s been so busy. He’s excited about KPC coming to film the chefs, our deliveries, the cooking process, and creating videos about our partnership.
Gary is currently teaching a new cohort of eight chef students this fall, many of whom are moving out of the shelter system and training for new careers. When I asked if there was anything KPC Buddhist Relief could provide to help, he said, "Pumpkins." Gary wants to teach his students how to make pasta sauce with fresh pumpkins. We’ve already reached out to Christina to see if she can add pumpkins to their order in the coming weeks, and will also get his recipe.
Our relationships with our partners continue to grow stronger. Jetsunma encourages us to be a constant presence in the lives of our partners, and they know they can count on us to help them feed their guests.
We are so grateful we can count on people like you. Please join us and become a part of KPC Buddhist Relief.
