The Thanksgiving Pie & Clothing Drive was a success!

We did it! Thanks to YOU, our generous donors, the Thanksgiving Pie/Clothing Drive raised $9,162.50. We were able to donate 500 pies to the Upcounty Hub’s Thanksgiving Dinner distribution event, and 272 lbs of warm clothing to the Clothing Closet at Shepherd’s Table:

48 Kids tube socks

36 Mens t-shirts

24 mens sweatpants

36 mens briefs

36 mens hoodie jackets

36 womens hoodies

48 womens sweaters

72 womens undies

120 womens tube socks

36 hat/glove/blanket sets

24 sweatshirt tracksuit sets

...and there was still money left over. Funds raised in excess of our goal are being used towards the Hams, Pies & Toys Holiday Drive.

Join us in bringing the joy of the holidays to those in need. Our goal is to provide 500 holiday hams, plus sweet potatoes and pies to the Upcounty Hub. In addition, we are collecting toys for WUMCO, the Upcounty Hub, the First Baptist Church of Silver Spring, and the Immigrant & Refugee Outreach Center.

You can bring toy donations to KPC’s front porch. The last date for toy collection is Friday, Dec. 15th.

May everyone know the joy of GIVING this holiday season!

*Editor's note: We previously stated that the warm clothing sets were being distributed through IROC, when it was actually Shepherd's Table. We apologize for the error.
