Support Hurricane Relief for Western NC

Delivering emergency aid to rural North Carolina communities devastated by Hurricane Helene

KPC Buddhist Relief is answering the call for support from North Carolina.

We have partnered with a food pantry, local businesses and organizations in Swannanoa, North Carolina, to help their community recover from the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Bounty & Soul, Blunt Pretzels, First Baptist Church Swannanoa, and Black Mountain Presbyterian Church are serving hundreds of meals a day, distributing supplies, and providing shelter to the residents who lost everything they own in the floods.

Swannanoa, North Carolina is a lower income and critically impacted area between Asheville and Black Mountain, and was one of the hardest hit communities in the region. But because so many roads were washed away, this tiny community isn’t receiving as much support as its neighbors.

KPC Buddhist Relief and its partners are collecting donations to address this crisis that we will deliver to Swannanoa in the coming days.

Here’s how you can help:

Donate to the KPC Buddhist Relief Helene Support fund - All donations will be used to purchase fresh produce, meat, dairy, non-perishable food, and other needed items for this community that is suffering, while we will continue to support our Maryland partners as well.

Additional ways to donate will be added as our efforts progress. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates as we hit the road to bring relief to Swannanoa! See the latest updates here.
